Vocal Auditions

Auditions for vocalists will be held at the University of South Carolina School of Music, located at 813 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC 29208. An accompanist will be provided for all vocal auditions. Vocalists should bring two contrasting selections from the standard repertoire of the period covered by Opera at the University, both to be sung in English. Please bring the music in your own copy. Vocalists should also prepare to sight-read a short selection.

Dance Auditions

Dance Auditions for the 2023 Performance Season will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Auditions will be held at the Dance Studio of the Grand Center Arts Academy, 3224 Olive Street, St. Louis, MO 63103, with check-in at 9:30 a.m. The Dance Studio of the Grand Center Arts Academy is seeking dancers/choreographers to join the dance performance company and to participate in the 2023 Performance Season. The Performance Season includes performances at the Saint Louis Art Fair, the St. Louis Fringe Festival, the Festival of Nations, the Black Choreographers Festival, and several other local events. Auditions are open to all dancers, ages 18 years and older. Dancers must be able to commit to rehearsal schedule and performance dates. Dancers of all experience levels and backgrounds are encouraged to audition. Auditions will consist of a dance class and improvisational movement. Please bring appropriate dance shoes, leotard, tights, and dancewear.
